USA
Operation Provision International is meeting the needs of the local community with a knock on the door, a box of food, and the Gospel. The USA is experiencing an economic crisis, and at the directive of the Bible, OPI is reaching out to those around us, helping to lift the burden of people in need.
Taking up the mandate to help the poor both home and abroad puts a stretch on our resources, but the needs continue to sour as the impact of a slowing economy effects more and more families. When we work together, not only are we giving them a hand out, but also a hand up.
OPI has a hands-on approach to ministry. Much of the work is handled by a volunteer base, either within a church chapter or at a centralized distribution center. From these staging areas food is purchased, packed and made ready for delivery to designated families in need. OPI makes a 6-month commitment to help each family and during that time relationships are formed between the delivery teams and the families they serve. Once that trust is established, the door is open to bring them hope and encouragement with a spiritual emphasis.
Church Chapters -The only thing needed for OPI to work as an outreach ministry is people within the church with a heart to reach the lost and a willingness to share the love of Jesus. It is not another job for the pastor, but rather an opportunity for lay members to become "doers of the Word." Often church members want to do something for the Lord but don't know how or what to do. OPI not only offers training, both class room and hands-on, but also provides a proven method of ministry that brings results. When you agree to have a chapter of OPI working out of your church you will not only increase your membership base, but your people will be inspired when they personally learn to minister salvation, pray and get results, and see lives impacted and changed before their eyes. Materials are available that will walk you through a chapter startup.
How does this ministry work? ...
Impacting lives with

of families in need!
In some instances churches do not have the facilities or room to keep food on their premises. A local center can be established from which several churches can work together to help the poor in their community.
